VCT floors lose their shine. Wax builds up unevenly, gets scuffed, yellows under fluorescent lighting, and eventually looks worse than bare tile. When that happens, it is time to strip it down to the original surface and start fresh. That is what strip and wax is.

We strip old wax and finish down to bare VCT, clean the tile surface, apply a sealer coat, and then lay down multiple coats of commercial-grade floor finish. The result is a uniform, high-gloss surface that protects the tile and looks sharp. Most Las Vegas commercial facilities need strip and wax once or twice a year depending on foot traffic, with buff and recoat maintenance in between.

Strip and wax involves chemicals that require proper handling. The stripping solution is alkaline and can irritate skin and eyes. The floor finish contains polymers that need ventilation during application. Our crews are trained on the hazards of every product they use, and we keep Safety Data Sheets (SDS) on file for each one. Product containers are properly labeled, dilution ratios are standardized (not eyeballed), and our crews wear appropriate PPE during the stripping phase. We follow the same documented procedure on every job: strip, neutralize, rinse, dry, seal, then 3-5 coats of finish with proper dry time between each coat. No shortcuts, no skipped steps.
